Sylvia: I received the list of ten candidates who have passed the document screening process from the personnel department. I would like to narrow down to six candidates. Can you give me your opinion on who to choose, Takashi?
Takashi: My opinion? I have never done candidate screening before.
Sylvia: Takashi, there is a first time for everything. I’m sure you will learn quickly.
Takashi: OK, if I’m allowed to say this, I would like to see either Joe Stone or Jennifer Yoshida. Both of them are well studied and deeply involved in real estate business.
Sylvia: I agree with you. As far as I can see from their CVs, they look flawless. I think number seven and number nine are also qualified. Shall we invite these candidates and see how it goes? They may be your colleagues after all.

In the U.S., resumes should list your most current work experience first. And they should be typed, never hand-written. And do not write things like, age, gender, marital status, children or religion. Also companies must be able to prove that they do not hire based on appearance. So, you should not include a photo of yourself.
