Michael: As I mentioned in my email earlier, we hit a wall for the land purchase in Redmond. Richard, the landowner, and his family are having second thoughts.
Sylvia: What is the sticking point for them?
Michael: The biggest problem is his daughter, who lives nearby, persuaded him to retain a part of the land and stay there.
Takashi: I thought Richard was willing to move to Portland where his son lived.
Michael: Exactly. That was the original plan. But for Richard’s children, that’s where they call home.
Sylvia: It’s a delicate issue. You said “a part of the land.” How much does Richard want to retain the land?
Michael: Roughly 20% of the total for now. That is fifteen units of land for us.
Takashi: 125 minus 15 equals 110 units. I think this could work!

When I think of a win-win situation, I think of something that benefits both parties involved. Being able to trust someone to look out for you and give you straight information is a win. And the company also wins because they get to keep a customer.
