Michael: This area is in the middle of Bellevue, 15 minutes east from Seattle and close to lake Washington.
Takashi: It’s only 15 minutes from downtown, but there is a lot of green. Plus, we can enjoy the view of the lake. It’s no wonder it’s such a popular residential area.
Michael: That’s just the beginning. It’s an affluent immigrant city, with various food, and tastes of the art. It’s not a young creative city, but if you want low crime and good education for your children, this is the best community to live in.
Takashi: Sounds good. But why do you live downtown even though the suburb is so attractive?
Michel: I’m originally from New York. I guess it’s because there is an urban spirit of the city in me. Nature is good for a weekend break, but I feel comfortable being in the hustle and bustle of a vibrant city.

(シアトルの印象について)

My impression of Seattle is that it’s a big city, but not too urban. Even though it may be a bit expensive, it seems like a great place to live. And it also looks beautiful. I would love to go there someday.

How about you, Mr. Shibata? What do you remember most about Seattle?
