Silvia: Well, it’s that time of year again, a performance review. Looking back on the past 6 months, what do you think you have done well to grow?
Takashi: I guess I have played a pivotal role in supporting the US project. The biggest event for me was a business trip to the US. I was happy that I could convince the landowner in Redmond to select our company.
Silvia: Yes, you became the driving force for ABC’s growth in the US. You have built a relationship of trust with local staff. With Michael, of course. You seem to have good chemistry with him.
Takashi: Yeah, for me, Michael is not only a colleague but also a mentor. He taught me the basic principles of US business, gave me career advice, and taught me how to be more assertive.
Silvia: You are lucky to have a role model like him.
