Silvia: Now we agree on positives. Is there anything you wish you had done differently?
Takashi: For the first few weeks, I had a hard time establishing communication with my US colleagues. In hindsight, I should have spoken more openly rather than beat around the bush.
Silvia: Well, we learn by doing. So, how about your long-term career aspirations?
Takashi: The Seattle-based project is fulfilling so far. But, in the long term, I want to shape my career around the Southeast Asian market. This is close to my major in university, and I guess that’s where I shine the most.
Silvia: Right. Think about it for a moment. Asian team is planning to launch the biggest project in Jakarta. If I could transfer you to that team, I can count you as a member of the force.
Takashi: You mean now? What about the Redmond project?
Silvia: The Redmond project is almost on track. I think you have done your part.
