Sylvia: How about Indonesia? It is said that increasing the income per capita and urbanization will boost the demand. Is there any other reason?
Takashi: I think favorable demographic composition will be a factor. According to the data, a significant portion of the younger population will be first time homebuyers in the next few years.
Sylvia: That’s promising. How do you think the plan to relocate the national capital to Kalimantan will progress? Jakarta doesn’t have necessary transportation infrastructure for its population, and they are plagued with frequent floods and sinking land.
Takashi: You’re right! Even if the capital moves to Kalimantan, I don’t think Jakarta’s economic importance will diminish. Because I think Jakarta will remain as the center of the country’s economy.
Silvia: Yes. You seem to have become a specialist of Asian market. Enjoy the presentation with Lucy. Good luck!

(相手との会話を弾ませたり、盛り上げる時はどんなことを意識するか)

Keeping the conversation is important and asking questions is a great way to do that.
Open ended questions are the best.
For example, “Did you finish the project?” is just a yes or no answer.
But, “I had a hard time with this project. What did you think about it?” offers a chance for more conversation and it makes it easier to ask follow up questions.
